To celebrate literacy and publishing on World Book Day, I've created 10 color bookmarks commemorating some of the books I've written. Get them for free on the home page or click above! Then, if you're feeling generous or interested in my books, come check them out on my Amazon page:
When you're stuck at home, you like to challenge yourself and stay busy! Well, I decided to challenge myself to make a book out of my daughter's lovely sketch entitled Smiley Toast!
That's how the Toasty Friends and the Adventures of Smiley Toast was born! Write your own story by cutting out the 9 original characters and putting them on the 20 different backgrounds. Then write a caption to explain the story being showed in the page. Smiley Toast and his friends will avoid the Scribble Monster and journey from spooky houses to deep forests and outer space! I've been drawing again! Check out the 4th chapter in the saga of Rod Carson! He's back to street racing, but the girls in his life are causing a bit of distraction. Can he earn enough money to get himself out of debt?
The book is done...
All that remained was the cover. Now it has a cover and you can get your own copy of book 1 of the Heartfire Saga! This 6x9 trade paperback is about 230 pages, so it's a nice read over an evening or two. Book 2 should be out next spring. So, I've written books, I've done textbooks, and I've illustrated books before, but I've never set a deadline like this before on such a big projects. I also haven't written a new novel for several years. This year, I wanted to challenge myself to be part of National Novel Writing Month!
I hope to have my book done, at least in rough draft, by the end of the month of November! When it's done, I plan on making a pretty cover, maybe a map or two, and releasing it on Amazon. I'm also hoping that releasing it chapter by chapter I gather a few more readers than I usually do for my works of fiction. Wish me luck writing: The Emperor's Dogs More about the rough story idea later!
