The Emperor’s Dogs

A boy, his dog, and a princess...

CAST OF CHARACTERS

GO: Probably no name. He’ll be given a name. He’s inseparable from his dog.
DOG: Name is just dog? A desert breed of dog, rangy and thin, but a smart fighter worth more than its weight. Possibly an African Hunting Dog?
THE KENNEL
- KALB: The advisor. He did something to get the young emperor’s attention early in life. Has forever been at his side since then.
- TEETH: Kalb’s mastiff companion.
- RED: Trains in fighting
- BLUE: Trains in tactics, soldiering, military strategy
- GREY: Trains in letters, numbers, and etiquette
- GREEN: Mysterious trainer that shows up later in training. Purpose?
PACK YEK
- They don't seem to have names.
PACK DO
- BLACK: dark-skinned, matches his Rottweiler. He has a nasty scar on his face and a torn lip.
PACK SE
- BULL: a powerfully-built adolescent, matches his bulldog. A calm, defensive character.
- FIRE: a red-haired boy with an Irish Setter.
PACK CHAHAR
- DRUM & BEAR: smaller boy paired up with a Tibetan Mastiff/Newfoundland giant dog. He’s the aggressive leader of the second-newest pack and uses fighting to try to move up the ladder.
- FACE: a boy with a wrinkly-faced dog that might be a Shar-Pei. Kinder than the other members of his pack.
- NOSE: a boy with a hunting hound.
- HAIR: A boy with a long-haired dog.
- MONGREL: A boy with a mixed breed mutt.
- SLEEK: A boy with a greyhound type dog.
PACK PANJ
- KILLER: stocky, matches his short-tailed boxer
- TINY & L.D.: Small boy with a feisty toy dog, like a mongoose that can chase off a lion.
- LEGS: Long-limbed boy with a swift-running Saluki.
ROYAL FAMILY
- BARAZ: The Emperor, Nokomi’s father.
- ANAHITA: The Emperor’s wife and royal consort. Due to a patriarchal society, she has little actual power.
- NEEMA: Firstborn daughter of the Emperor.
- NOKOMI: Rebellious younger daughter of the king.
- SARDAR: A baby boy? There’s finally a male heir.
- NAVID: Uncle of Nokomi, brother of the King.
THE CITY
- ADISH: A metalworker.
- BARID: The metalworker’s apprentice.
- SHERINE: Adish’s wife. A great cook.
